Hearing Aid Warranty
What is covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty?
Most warranty's covers the product for 2 or 3 years from the date of purchase against any defects in manufacture. Should any such defects arise, Hearing Plus will, as it reasonably determines, adjust, repair or replace the hearing aid free of charge to the original owner.
What is not covered by the Warranty?
The guarantee only applies to the original owner of a hearing aid purchased from Hearing Plus, and the guarantee does not cover:
- Defects arising from wilful damage, neglect, misuse, accidental damage (accidental damage may include hearing instruments that has been crushed (stepped on or run over), a hearing instrument that a pet has chewed, a hearing instrument that has been over exposed to moisture (worn in the shower, pool, long exposure to high humidity areas), a hearing instrument that has been overexposed to heat (stored in glove compartment of car, dried in a microwave or oven), hearing instruments damaged in shipping. Neglect and misuse includes repairs or alterations made by anyone other than Hearing Plus or failure to follow the instructions provided with the hearing aid;
- Loss of the hearing aid;
- The replacement of batteries, earmoulds, thin acoustic tubes, or eartips.
- A claim made without the completed guarantee card or other proof that the product was purchased from Hearing Plus.
What if my aid develops a problem not covered by the Warranty or is out of warranty?
If your hearing aid develops a problem, please return it to Hearing Plus, together with proof that the hearing aid was purchased from us. If a hearing aid is returned to Hearing Plus and the problem is not caused by a defect in manufacture, Hearing Plus may charge the customer its reasonable costs in analysing the product and/or correcting the problem. In such a situation, Hearing Plus will advise the customer of the cost of such repair work prior to the commencement of repairs.
